For the first time available, a bipod assembly that mounts to the side of railed fore ends. Each individual Vltor ModPod bipod leg attaches to the side rails, allowing the user to have an obstructed lower rail, where most bipods normally mount to. This design lowers the weapons center of gravity, giving the weapon a more secured stance. Also, the Vltor ModPod allows the use of the M203 Grenade Launcher while Vltor ModPod is deployed.
When mounting the Vltor ModPod to carbine and mid-length rail systems, be aware that the folded Vltor ModPod legs may interfere with the weapons ejection port. By mounting the Vltor ModPod legs to the rear of the rail system and folding the legs forward, this will eliminate the possible ejection process.
The Vltor ModPod legs rotate 360 degrees, locking every 90 degrees. The lock is a simple and silent push button for each leg. Each leg also has 3 height adjustments for uneven ground.
Vltor ModPod kits include two legs (left and right), all mounting hardware is self contained - no small parts to lose when the bipod is removed!
