The Bullet Button Wrench is a great addition to any Bullet Button magazine lock.  Use it to tighten down the inner nut during installation, or as a tool to drop the magazine while at the range.  When you travel out of California or use it on a rimfire rifle, you can screw it on a few extra turns and use it like a normal magazine release button!

When you unscrew the wrench, it returns the inner nut to the original position.  Red anodized finish warns you to remove the wrench to return your rifle to a CA-legal configuration.

Nothing bad to say about this at all! Bought two of these and definitely use when I'm plinking in CA. Would rather use this to drop down a mag versus too many hand movements just to get a pointed object situated on the bullet button to release the mag.

I purchased this based on others comments and am ready to test it on my CMMG stripped lower. I should recieve my 20" Del-Ton Rifle kit next month and am chomping at the bit to test it out. Thanks Riflegear for your Calif. legal section. 1/2/2010 - This button tool works great. I keep it in the butt compartment with a few other spare parts and tool, easy on and easy off. Just keep it in a small ziplock bag in the buttstock compartment.

Awesome product. I switched to the FreeLock, but there was nothing wrong with this one. Did exactly what it said it would.

does what it says it does, and it lets you use your california ar-15 the way it was supposed to be used!... when you're out of state... because of course i would never use it inside of california when nobody is around... *wink* *wink*

The right tool for the right job...this will be the best $5.99 you've spent in a while! Makes installing the Bullet Button a totally painless process, AND it allows you to "convert" the BB into free-state operation when needed. I have 1 BB wrench for each of my 4 BB equipped lowers.

Picked one of these up so I could easily install my bullet button. Worked like a charm and if I go out of state I can leave it on and it works just like a regular mag release. Easy to switch from CA rifle to a free state rifle. GREAT for the price and it has dual functions.
